Play Cast Members- ?All cast members MUST communicate with Mrs Cooley if they are not going to be at a rehearsal!
NHS-- The NHS is sponsoring a blood drive on Monday, Feb. 29th from 9:00 to 2:00 in the High School gym. You must be at least 16 years of age on the day of the drive to donate and anyone who has not turned 17 will need a signed parental permission slip before being allowed to donate. Anyone 17 or older does not need a slip. Everyone who donates will receive a t-shirt. To sign up or get a parental permission slip, see a NHS member or Mr. Bastien. Remember to eat something on the day of the drive and bring your ID with you.
Student Council Girls - Thursday, February 11th meet during lunch in Mrs. Ewings room to bag treats.
6th Annual Cook-off/Dinner- for Prevention Feb. 9 before the boys basketball game against North Fulton. This year teams will be competing to see who has the best hot sandwich filling. Dinner will be served from 4:30 to 7:00 (or as long as the food lasts). $5 for all you can eat sandwich, chips, dessert, and drink. $3 for children under 3 and free for pre-schoolers. Team are also need to compete. The entry fee is $25. See Mrs. Reavley for more information.
Valentine's Flowers-- FFA Greenhand Officers are selling flowers for Valentine’s Day: $2 for 1 flower or $10 for 6 flowers. Order forms and money will be due on Tuesday, February 9th to Hannah Clemens, Cynthia Skiles, or Ms. Phillips. See one of them with questions or for order forms.
Student Council Boys - Meet Wed. February 10th during lunch in Band Room & Friday, February 12th at 7:30 A.M. in Band room for rehearsal.
FCCLA meeting- Wednesday, February 10 in Mrs Ewing's room.
Freshman Class Meeting(Feb 11)- during lunch on Thursday, February 11 in Ms Mitchell's room.
Community Trivia Night- Saturday, March 12th 2016 at 7:00pm in the Astoria High School Gym. Entrance fee: $100.000 per team. A team is up to 10 people. Mulligans are available for $5.00 each. You must be 12+ years old to play. 10 rounds of questions in 10 categories The team with the most correct answers after 10 rounds wins. Coffee, tea, & deserts will be provided by the Student Council members. To enter talk to the high school office. Please register your team before 3:00pm Friday, March 11th.
Seniors there is an updated scholarship list on Mr. Kelly's door and packets are in plastic wall file next to his door.
?Valentine's Day Serenade- - Student Council boys will be coming around the school serenading anyone chosen as a valentine on Friday, February 12th 2016. Serenades are $3. Pay $1 to find out your anonymous valentine. $1 candy and $0.50 for a note to your valentine as well.

HS guests must have a Guest Permission form and a Breathalyzer form turned into the office by Friday, February 12th @ 3:00.
High School Students and Staff-- The NHS will be sponsoring hot chocolate Wednesdays before school. Get a cup of hot chocolate for $1.00 and marshmallows and whipped cream will be available to top it off at no extra charge.
High School Incentive- Throughout the semester there will be 3 incentive rewards (Feb. 19, April 1, and May 6). To be eligible for each of these you must be passing all classes on that day, have less than 10 discipline points, plus have turned in all assignments and not had any unexcused absences during the time period. So in order to participate in the Feb. 19 reward you must not have any zeros or unexcused absences between Jan. 5 and Feb. 18. Remember, a PE "no dress" is like a zero on an assignment.
Seniors- There will be a free ACT practice test on Fri Feb 19. The test will start at noon. Anyone interested in taking it should sign up on Mr. Kelly' door by Wed Feb 17.
Student Council Meetings (Feb 16 & 23)- Student Council will meet during lunch Tuesdays, February 16 and 23 in Ms. Mitchell's Room.
