Due to an increase in the price we have to pay for sweet tea, we have had to increase the sale price to $1.75.

FFA Week News--
Prairie Farms, earn money for your school. FFA is collecting Prairie Farms milk lids from gallon and half gallon milk jugs. There is a peel off sticker with a code. Bring it in and FFA will enter the code to earn money for our school. 5 for 5 cents and $50 for each 500 lids we enter. They will be collecting and entering at the end of each month. Thank you for participating.

Job Opening--
Blake will hanging up her vest upon Graduation. Looking for a student interested in being a Crossing Guard.
Exceptional attendance and dependability is a must. Driver's license is not mandatory as long as you can arrive in time for your duty. (7:30)
Applications may be picked up in the HS school office. Deadline is Thursday, April 17, 2014.

Organization pictures--
A photographer from Inter-State will be here TODAY to take pictures of organizations and class officers / sponsors from 12:30-?. Please come prepared with your formal posed picture and your 2nd fun picture plans and props so that we can get the photographer out on time. If you have questions, please speak to Mr. Hill.

Students ages 15 through 18--
CHAUTAUQUA NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE, near Havana is accepting applications from youth ages 15 through 18 for the Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) Program. Enrollees will be selected in a random drawing to participate in the 8 week program, tentatively scheduled to begin June 9 and end August 1.
Application deadline is 3:00 pm April 18.
If interested stop by the office for an application.

The Argus will be here at noon Thursday, April 24 to go over your High School Activity sheets for their Graduation issue. Be sure to bring a Senior picture with you.-- You may eat your lunch first then go to the Spanish room to fill out your form.

Kassie and Blake need to have their Valedictorian Forms filled out for the Argus as well.

Several NHS students have not seen Mr. Bastien anda list of those students are posted outside his room. Those students need to see him by the end of school on Thursday to avoid a deduction of your previously earned community service points.

Volunteers needed
Anyone wanting to Volunteer to help with the Community Easter Hunt contact the office for more info.

2014 Yearbooks--
Attention students and staff, don't forget that after Easter break, the cost of the yearbook goes to its full price of $45. Please take advantage of the discounted price of $40 and order your yearbook by the end of the day Thursday. Please see Mr. Hill or a yearbook staff member OR go to to place your order.

Summer Job (12 and up)--
Team Corn Detasseling is hiring students for summer detasseling. Work with your griends this summer. There are losal pick up sites and local fields. Earn $8.25 to $10.00 per hour depending on your ability. The season stars around July 10 and runs for 10-15 days. Information in the HS Office.
