Thought for the Day
A large part of virtue consists in good habits.

The Astoria Jr. High School will be sponsoring an event to raise money to donate to ALS, otherwise known as Lou Gerhig's Disease. During lunch, high school students will be able to donate at the table outside the cafeteria along with the bake sale on Wed. thru Fri. For every dollar a high school student donates, they will be placed into a drawing to be held Friday afternoon during the last period of school. Names will be drawn one at a time, the student drawn each time will get to pick out of a group of volunteer teachers and staff to dump a bucket of ice water on that individual's head.
